Held on the first weekend of November, the Christmas in Paris Arts & Craft Show & Sale is one of the County of Brant's signature Marquee events and marks the beginning of the festive season for many. Paris warmly welcomes thousands of visitors who are eager to purchase unique one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts.
This year, the 28th Annual juried show will display the work of over 30 local area artists and crafters, members of the Kindred Spirits Artisans of Paris. Their unique talents range from creating pottery pieces, various sized quilts, fabric art pieces, felted art and wearables, chalk art, mixed media, watercolour, acrylic, and pastel paintings in all shapes and sizes, fused glass, beaded and Swarovski jewellery, soap products, silk scarves, natural ingredient lip balms and glosses, pouches, brooches and pillows etched in thread, leather jewelry with rustic overtones, and original wood carvings among many other offerings. Many items are themed for the holiday season, including a variety of wreaths, tree decorations and door ornaments. A selection of delicious baked goods and preserves is also available and very popular - these sell out fast!
This year, the highly-anticipated event will be held over three days at the Paris Fairgrounds (139 Silver St.):
Friday, November 1st, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 2nd, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 3rd, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A toonie ($2.00) allows entry to this highly anticipated Christmas event with all proceeds to support bursaries for local community artists. Come join the fun from November 1st to 3rd and help celebrate 28 years of inspiration, creativity and holiday cheer!
